Location:      Scotts Head, a quiet cul-de-sac fishing village at the southern tip of Dominica, which can be reached by road from the capital Roseau in approx. 30 minutes. This area is well known for its unique and varied diving and snorkelling opportunities. The bay inside the 'toe' of Dominica is a submerged volcano and Marine National Park, with drop-offs, wrecks, a wide variety of colourful fish and an abundance of coral in pristine condition. For guests wishing to scuba dive, Nature Island Dive is conveniently located in the neighbouring village of Soufriere. A trail leads up the toe past old cannons to the summit of a rocky outcrop. To the south, from any vantage point, the French island of Martinique may be clearly seen accross the channel on a clear day.
Scotts  Head 

Description:   A modern 2 storey building on a residential hillslope, enjoying a westerly sea view towards the toe of Dominica. The owners, Dominican returnees retired from the UK, live in the first floor apartment and are the perfect hosts.
On the ground floor, accessed from the front garden, is a fully furnished self contained 2 bedroomed apartment with generous lounge, dining and kitchen. The bathroom is in between the two bedrooms, both of which have sea view. Cable TV, radio.
The bedsit flat is accessed from the rear garden - one large room with a bathroom built into one corner. Partially self catering - mini-fridge, sink, toaster, kettle, percolator, microwave but no stove. 4 poster bed.
Both units have stand fans, hot water shower, insect screens to windows and nets over beds. Secure parking area, attractive garden, & shady patio. Guests may also relax on the balcony of the owner's apartment above. No telephone, though the owners have one in case of emergency.
Comments:     Neat, spacious and cool. Great value.
In 2006, two new sea facing balconies were added, one for each apartment, with table and chairs (see new pictures below).
