Location:      Scotts Head, a quiet cul-de-sac fishing village at the south west tip of Dominica, approximately 25 minutes drive south of Dominica's capital, Roseau. This area is well known for its unique and varied diving and snorkelling opportunities. The bay inside the 'toe' of Dominica is a submerged volcano and a Marine National Park, with drop-offs, wrecks, a wide variety of colourful fish and an abundance of coral in pristine condition. A trail leads up the toe past old cannons to the summit of a rocky outcrop. To the south, from any vantage point, the French island of Martinique may be viewed across the channel on a clear day.

Scotts  Head 
Brief Description: A compact 1 bedroomed ground floor apartment on a western slope in the central residential part of the village. The owner occupies the floor above. It is a self contained, fully furnished and equipped holiday apartment. Lounge with cable TV, kitchen dining area, one bedroom with queensize bed and stand fan, bathroom with hot water shower. WiFi but no telephone, though the owner has one in case of emergency. 240-110V adaptor available for US hair-driers, chargers etc. Insect screens to all windows + net over bed if required. Covered patios to both lounge and kitchen with table & chairs, yard with bench seat. Street parking for your vehicle rental. A 5 minute walk to the sea shore. Also in the vicinity are hot water mineral pools in the forest behind Soufriere Village and a nature trail to sulphur deposits above them.
Vehicle hire is recommended for exploring the island.

SEPTEMBER 2015 UPDATE: the passing of Tropical Storm ERIKA at the end of August 2015 deposited 15" of rain in less than 12 hours, devastating the island and leaving many families homeless. The owner has very generously offered this apartment to temporarily house a displaced family from Petite Savanne until our Government can provide them with a permanent home. Consequently this venue will remain unavailable until further notice.
